1997 - 2002 GM OBS Truck Cracked Dashboard Repair / Restoration Approach (Chevy & GMC)

In this video we go over a cosmetic restoration / repair for when the dash area cracks due to age and long term exposure to ultraviolet light from the Sun. This type of cosmetic damage is inevitable on the GMT400 trucks after so many decades of active service. The full dashboard for the 1995 and up design is not yet reproduced, but there are ABS plastic overlays / covers, painted to match, that can be used in lieu of a full dashboard replacement.

The truck illustrated is a 1998 Chevrolet K2500 Cheyenne, but the procedure and part(s) I share with you will be the same for any 1997 thru 2002 GMT400 generation OBS truck or SUV. So Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC for Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Silverado, Cheyenne, Escalade, Sierra, and W/T across C1500, K1500, C2500, K2500, C3500, C3500HD, and K3500 weight ratings.
