LAPIS MADE FROM CORNSTARCH / LAPIS GEMAAKT VAN MAIZENA

Ingredients:
(A5 size Lapis)
1/2 L water
300 ml cocosmelk
1/4 tsp salt
80 - 100 gr sugar
75 gr maizena (corn starch)
1/4 tsp pandan pasta flavoring


mix the cornstarch with some water
make sure the cornstarch is completely dissolved
warm the water and add the coconut milk, salt and sugar
add the cornstarch mix while - keep stirring
it will thicken up, when it bubbles it is done
pour half in a bowl - level by shaking
add the pandan paste OR your desired flavor to the other half
mix well
pour over the first layer
shake again to level
let it get to room temperature
cover with plastic wrap and foil then place in the fridge
let it cool for at least 2 hours in the fridge to harden
go with a knife around the edges
ready to cut in pieces
