O Merciful Father,
who shepherds Your people with steadfast love,
as foretold by Your prophet Micah,
You pardon our iniquities and cast our sins
into the depths of the sea, remembering Your covenant
with Abraham and his children forever.
In this holy season of Lent, we turn to You,
like the prodigal son who squandered his inheritance
yet returned in humility to Your embrace.
You run to meet us, clothe us in dignity,
and rejoice with feasting over one repentant sinner,
more than over the righteous who never strayed.
Your compassion knows no bounds;
You do not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our offenses,
but remove our transgressions as far as the east is from the west.
Grant us, Lord, the grace of true contrition,
that we may confess our wanderings,
rise from the mire of sin,
and be welcomed back into Your household.
Through the intercession of Saints Perpetua and Felicity,
who bore faithful witness even unto martyrdom,
strengthen us to live as Your beloved children,
forgiving others as You forgive us.
We ask this through Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Pater misericors,
qui populum tuum misericordia perpetua pascis,
ut a Micha propheta tuo praedictum est,
iniquitates nostras condonas et peccata nostra
in profundum maris proicis, foederis tui
Misericordia tua non habet limites;
e luto peccatorum surgamus,
et in domum tuam recipiamur.
Per intercessionem Sanctarum Perpetuae et Felicitatis,
quae fidelem testimonium usque ad martyrium praebuerunt,
confirma nos ut vivamus sicut filii tui dilectissimi,
aliis ignoscentes sicut tu nobis ignoscis.
Amen.
