Cosmos Crypto Airdrop and Defi Farming (October 2024)

The Cosmos ecosystem was all the rage for Defi and airdrops at the start of 2024, but has since fallen off quite substantially.

In this video, we will review my top plays for Cosmos related Defi and airdrops that are worth your time in October 2024.

Top protocols to use:

Drop (https://app.drop.money/?referral_code... Users can liquid stake $ATOM and get $dATOM which they can use across various Defi applications.

My favorite strategy is through Mars protocol (https://app.marsprotocol.io/) where I leverage dATOM by looping it with USDC to maximize my $ATOM exposure and earning drop points.

All other applications (other than Mars) that allow you to earn Drop points pay a low APY, which is why I'm not currently interested in them.

Hydro Protocol (https://app.hydroprotocol.finance/): Another liquid staking protocol for Injective (INJ), where you can utilize hINJ in their farm boost pool to earn 80-90% APY in $HYDRO. They are in the middle of their 2nd airdrop season, so I'm currently reinvesting my yields into the pool to maximize rewards and the upcoming airdrop.

Milky Way (https://app.milkyway.zone?ref=mymilk2024): Another liquid staking protocol for Celestia. This airdrop is quite popular, so unless you have at least $1,000 to invest, you may not get a very large allocation. If you do move forward, the best yield is depositing into the milkTIA/ETH pool on Camelot (https://app.camelot.exchange/) on Arbitrum which pays over 100% APY and qualifies you for the airdrop.

Cosmos Staking: In general, I'm currently staking a variety of Cosmos related tokens ($SAGA, $INJ, $OSMO, $TIA, $DYM, $ATOM, $SEI) in hopes of qualifying for future airdrops.

So far this year, almost all of the staking has paid for itself, although airdrops have slowed in the past few months. Will re-evaluate at end of 2024 depending on how airdrop landscape looks going into 2025.
