How is the contemporary compare to the classic Japan Vintage?

Having already done this sort of comparison with a 1982 JV 57 reissue Stratocaster and a 2022 Takashi Kato Stratocaster, I thought it was only fitting now that I have a JV telecaster to do it again only with Teles! The specs of these guitars on paper are very, very similar - so just how different are they in both feel and sound?
