Triple Neo Thermic Wings - Time Lapse Build

Описание к видео Triple Neo Thermic Wings - Time Lapse Build

In this video I will show you a time lapse build of the Thermic Wings for the Aeronaut Triple Neo. In one of my previous videos I showed you the build of the Triple Neo with the Speed Wings. The Triple Neo can use three different types of wings with the same fuselage. In the Speed Wing configuration, it has already shown pretty good performance in thermals, which is why the desire for the Thermal Wings quickly arose in me. The construction of the Thermic Wings is quite similar to the Speed Wings but has a much larger wing span of 2580mm compared to 1810mm of the Speed Wing. The wings are build as a classic balsa rib construction. The quality of the kit is very good with a fine selection of balsa sheets and a high accuracy of the laser cut parts. As usual for this kind of kits you have some room for own modifications. For example I reinforced the trailing edges of the wings with a carbon roving. To have a more carefree handling of the wings during attaching and removing I added 44g glass fiber to the inside of the balsa sheeting in the area of the first rib field at the wing root. I strongly recommend closing the brass tube for the torsion rod as shown in the video. This prevents the torsion rod from sliding to one side which in the worst case could pull the rod completely out of the other wing. During flight this would definitely be a catastrophic failure.
I really enjoyed the build and can recommend it for anyone who has some basic experience in balsa building. The good build instruction leaves almost no room for mistakes.
