Behular bashor ghor or Gokul Medh is an archaeological site in Bangladesh. It is an excavated mound in the village of Gokul under Shibganj Upazila of Bogra. It is known locally as Behula Lakshindarer Basar Ghar, and it is also popularly called Lakshindar Medh.
Location -
It is about 2 km (1.2 miles) southwest of Mahasthangarh citadel and 12 km (7.5 miles) far from Bogra town.
Mahasthangarh is one of the earliest urban archaeological sites so far discovered in Bangladesh.
The village Mahasthan in Shibganj thana of Bogra District contains the remains of an ancient city which was called Pundranagara or Paundravardhanapura in the territory of Pundravardhana.


Transportation -
Any one can reached here from Bogra city by local bus or auto rikshwa.

History -
The Archaeology Department of Bangladesh estimates that it was built between the 7th and 12th centuries. It is said that it was the bridal chamber of Behula.
Folklore says there was merchant named Laxmindar who married Behula. As per horoscope on first night of marriage Laxmindar was to die because of snake bite . But Behula was adament to marry Laxmindar .
To prevent the horoscopic words, a honey moon suit was built in a mound with bee hive type straight wall to prevent snake to enter the room. But inevitable took place Laxmindar died of snakebite in the honeymoon suit .
Thereafter Behula`s love and determination story to bring back Laxindar to life . Behula was successful that`s made the whole site popular . Many young pairs are seen taking picture on the site .
