About This Video:

Every day we speak to people about their goals and how to succeed. However, most people never achieve their goals because they are afraid to fail. On this week’s episode we are talking about the importance of failing and learning how to fail.

My favorite quote about success and failure is this: “If you want success, you need to double your rate of failure.” This means that in order to reach our goals we have to be willing to fail. We are the ones who decide what failure means to us, and we are the ones who cause those negative emotions. Once we choose to change how we look at and feel about failure, our fear of failure will dissolve.

A lot of people tell me that they are afraid of failure.

So they stop expecting. They keep their expectations really low. They recycle the same life so that they never fail.

I think that is such a shame.

I think the better you get at failing, the more willing you're going to be to do it, the more you're going to learn and the better you're going to get at meeting your own expectations. You're going to have a much higher chance of ultimately getting success.

Failure is something you have to consider as something you want to include in your life. It's not something to avoid. It's actually something to pursue and to get very good at.

The more you fail, the more you learn, and the closer you get to reaching your goal. Don't let your unwillingness to feel failure be the reason that you don't put yourself out there and create the life you want. If you want help, come check out Self Coaching Scholars.
