San Diego PADRES at New York METS 8/23/87 Original WWOR Broadcast

Описание к видео San Diego PADRES at New York METS 8/23/87 Original WWOR Broadcast

Recorded and Digitalized off a pre recorded DVD disc and was previously edited by the original recorder there are some missing pitches with some occasional jump cuts and edits between pitches here and there.
the Original WWOR-TV Broadcast with Ralph Kiner, Tim McCarver, Steve Zabriskie and Rusty Staub from Shea Stadium. Dwight Gooden takes the mound for New York against Rookie left hander Eric Nolte for San Diego as the Mets start off with the early lead in the 2nd inning on Howard Johnson's 31st Homerun of season, and Darryl Strawberry who also hits his 31st of the season in the 4th inning off Nolte as they both now lead the Mets in HRs with 31. Tim Tuefel becomes the star of the game going 2 for 4 with a couple of doubles and while picking up an RBI with a run scored, as well as a few fine defensive plays in the game at 2B.
Doc Gooden pitches a decent outing, picking up the win (11-4), going 6.1 innings allowing 2 Runs on 7 Hits while striking out 2 and walking 2 Roger McDowell comes in to relive Gooden in the 7th inning and manages to pick up his 18th save of the season while Eric Nolte suffers the loss his second of the season (1-2).
Whoever recorded this game was concerned about the recording time I guess hoping to fit a complete rundown/highlight of the game by making occasional edits so it all fits with the 120min running time on the VHS tape and VCR recording but includes some of KINERS KORNER with Tim Tuefel the guest.
