Luxury vinyl tile is one of the most popular flooring options for its durability and versatility. With long-lasting results, there's no need to replace the flooring for years to come. When planning for a long-term remodel, it's best to account for other elements that go into replacing the floor - like electric floor heating.

Although luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is a floating floor, it cannot be installed with a floating floor heating system, like our Environ foil-backed mats. LVT is prone to draping as it settles over the subfloor, taking the shape of any bumps or divots that are present. With a floating floor system, the floor would eventually shape itself over the cables, creating an uneven floor.

The best installation approach for LVT is using radiant heating cables embedded in self-leveling cement. Our TempZone systems are best suited for this application. Creating a stable, flat surface that becomes a heated subfloor - where almost any type of flooring can be installed.
