Speaking Up At Work What To Do And What Not To Do | Jacob Morgan

You have to learn to speak up using the language of business.

Let's say you're a part of a team and feel that you have too many projects and don't know which ones to prioritize. Don't just go to your leader and say, “Hey, I have too much stuff going on, I can't do it.”

Instead, try to come up with a solution and say, “I have a lot of different projects I'm working on. Which ones should I be working on first?”

If you are someone who wants to drive change in your organization, don’t just complain. Come up with alternative solutions.

If you can come up with a couple of different options to present, the change you want to drive inside your company is much more likely to happen.
