This week's art video is a step-by-step watercolor pencil tutorial in which I'm taking you through my painting process for a close-up of a yellow Rose. 🌹

Only three colors were used to paint this one and I explain my layering process in-depth, which allows me to develop realism in a simple way.

Before starting with the painting process, I take you through how I prepare my photo and use the Color Wheel to pick out my colors from my watercolor pencil set.

This is the third episode of my series on painting different flowers using watercolor pencils, while exploring tried-and-true color schemes that have been used by artists throughout history to create visual harmony. 👩‍🎨

In the first episode, I shared my process for a Sunflower using the Square Color Scheme. In the second one, I painted a pair of Carnations using the Split Complementary Color Scheme.
