Shahid Morteza Motahhari Street (former name: Takht Tavous Street) is one of the central streets of Tehran. This street, which has a west-to-east direction, leads from the west to Valiasr Street (Pahlavi Street) and from the east to the Shahid Sayad Shirazi Highway. Takht Tavous Street is one-way to the east. This street was named after Morteza Motahhari Rouhani, an Iranian scholar and researcher, after the Islamic Revolution.

The texture of Takht-e Tavous Street is administratively located and many government institutions, financial, commercial, service and industrial companies are located there. Takht Tavous Street is one of the main streets of Tehran's economy.
