WILD CAMPING in the LAKE DISTRICT in my Naturehike Cloud Peak 2

We have come backpacking to the Lake District to go wild camping at Red Tarn, Helvellyn. We are completing a 15 mile uk backpacking trip summiting several Wainwright peaks. It’s a tough 2-day hike with plenty of elevation. We are hiking over both Swirral Edge and Striding Edge too.

I am wild camping in my Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 tent to try out in the Lake District mountains and my 3 season camping gear. This is an ideal tent to wild camp uk. The forecast is good but the weather is often unpredictable in the uk mountains.

We are summiting Helvellyn twice. Once comping up from Glenridding and once coming over Striding Edge. We are also descending Helvellyn by Swirral Edge too up to Catstye Cam. Backpacking in the Lake District is one of my favourite things to do.

Wild camping uk doesn't get much better than a uk wild camp in the lake district. You just need to bring the right camping gear. Luckily we've got a good range of backpacking gear so we are able to carry what we need without weighing us down too much.
