See Who Was the First Canadian Airman to Score a MiG & Focke Wulf Kill!

Описание к видео See Who Was the First Canadian Airman to Score a MiG & Focke Wulf Kill!

There is a significant number of American and Soviet pilots who fought in both WWII and the Korean War. Some of them scored air victories in both conflicts. But when it comes to Canadian pilots, this achievement is quite rare. Omer Levesque first joined RCAF in 1941 and he was soon sent to Europe to fly Spitfires. His first encounter with the enemy over occupied France turned out to be a memorable experience. His last WWII mission was even more memorable, both good and bad. Ten years later, he was flying on an exchange tour with the USAF's 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing, the first F-86 Sabre unit to fight in the Korean War. A B-29 escort mission in March 1951 would give him a chance to finally complete his quest to acedom.

This is the first video on the channel that combines the use of DCS World and IL-2 Sturmovik to create a historical reenactment.
