WE SUCK (compared to most Yosemite climbers) | Climbing in Yosemite as a beginner

It’s Valley Season!!!! Our friends @codyandvictoria were headed to Yosemite for a week, so we naturally invited ourselves to join. To be honest, we didn’t think climbing in Yosemite was within our realm at all. Kelby just started leading on gear last fall, I JUST completed my first lead on gear ever, and we have only heard that the climbs here are super sandbagged.

Cody and Victoria were able to give us a lot of pointers for some good beginner-mediate climbs here, and we sure took their advice and ran. We were honestly really surprised to see how many easier climbs there are here, and they were epic! We got absolutely worked, and had some of our best and worst/hardest/longest days all in the span of a week here.

Yosemite is such a magical spot, and we already cannot wait to come back in the fall. We hope you enjoy this one!
