Marron Glace (Glazed Chestnut/Candied Chestnut) Christmas Treats Recipe | Mama Hong's Kitchen

I still vividly remember the first time i have ever tasted a Marron Glace when i was around elementary school. It has such a soft, sweet, and delicate taste to it. I would dream about eating it as i grew older but never get a chance to find where they sell them. Online would sell them for around $25/5 pieces.

In 2019, my uncle brought back to me a jar of Marron Glace from France, but i was disappointed because it does not taste like how i remember. Being quite upset, i looked up a recipe and was disappointed by how time-consume it is. To perfect one, it would take 4-5 days!

Since it is winter, the perfect season to find yummy chestnuts in my groceries stores, i decided to try making this delicate treat. This video will show you how to make Marron Glace from STRATCH, even show you how to easily remove the shell and skin of the chestnut to achieve the best looking dessert.
