【Pls look at the top comment first】This is my first time to recommend hard rock/melodic rock from Poland, so I get nervous as a non-Polish speaker overseas because I'm afraid of having wrong understanding of Polish rock as well as their culture. Actually, I am so interested in rock n roll recorded in minority native languages from various countries as I think rock music needs to be spread all over the world no matter what languages or dialects are used. This time it's a good opportunity for fans to know the Polish native band and rock n roll performed in Polish.

Syndia, one of the most influential names from Poland. For Polish natives, Syndia did take on all the features of what long hair rockers looked like and what this type of rock was during those periods of time, but to most listeners overseas, they are very scare and so hard to get. The band was founded in Warsaw by Zbigniew Kondratowicz and Piotr Urbanek in 1987, who were respectilvely the vocalist and the bassist.

This debut was recorded in November 1989 and mixed in May 1990. The cassette and vinyl types were respectively released in 1990 and 1991 while the CD type was released in 1992. Speaking of the label "Polskie Nagrania Muza", it was established in 1956 in Warsaw, which was the merger of the vinyl record factory Muza and the record house Polskie Nagrania. Until its purchase by Warner Music Poland in 2015, for €1.9 million, the label was owned by the Polish government.

Though this album was recorded in Polish, this album conveys typical 1980s rock spirits like many other big names, whose albums were recorded in English. These typical hard rock from Poland during late 1980s to early 1990s like Fatum, Lessdress, Hetman, Non Iron, Skawalker as well as Syndia, no matter what language they performed, English or Polish, all make the world hear Polish rocker's calling by passion and dedication. Among them, Syndia is my favourite because of some AORish arrangements with bright and splendid keys. For non-Polish fans, what matters are their music and skilled playing.

This is the opening track from the album, solid aor as Syndia generally played. It shows a kind of comparatively steady style with an equal mix of keyboards and guitars. Another track I want to mention is the last one "Spotkajmy Się W Pół Drogi", which sounds like Van Halen's classic works with big keys. Besides, check out a music video of their second track "Plaża Snów", surely reminding you of the greatest hair metal era in the best memories.

P.S. The huge guitar in the thumbnail of this video is "Hard Rock Cafe" in Warsaw, what a relaxing place is, showing the popular rock culture in Poland.
