Hunting For Treasure On A Post-storm Gravel Bar

The river gravels experienced record flooding early this summer in Montana. Following the flood, there was a torrential hailstorm. The downpour of rain was heavy for this area. It did a nice job of washing off many of the mud-covered agates on the riverbeds. I was lucky enough to be able to raft out to several of the uncovered gravel islands in the river over the weekend. So many great agate finds!
