Join me as I explore Fort Revere, a seaside military fort built during the height of the Revolutionary War in 1776! Located in the South Shore town of Hull, Massachusetts, Fort Revere offers a fascinating glimpse into America's fight for independence, as the fort was used heavily during the revolution. The fort was also stationed during both World War I and II, and a nearby island served as a missile control center during the early years of the Cold War. Fort Revere and the surrounding area has some major military history, and walking through the dark and winding corridors inside the fort itself really makes that history come to life!

Fort Revere is a personal favorite of mine: I've always loved exploring old and abandoned forts, and this is no exception! There is a maze of underground tunnels, cells, and rooms within the inside of Fort Revere, which you can explore at your own leisure. You can also climb atop the batteries for some stellar views of the Boston Harbor Islands and the Hull peninsula itself. The site is truly beautiful, and Fort Revere is highly worth a visit if you're a history buff or just want to take in some scenic seaside views.
