"Alba Overture" - Ferrer Ferran

Het "GEZAMENLIJK CONCERT" 2014, Hemelvaartsdag, donderdag 29 mei 2014. Een mooie muzikale traditie, dit jaar alweer voor de 65e keer, waarbij de beide harmonieën van Thorn, het bekende "Witte Stadje", eenmaal per jaar gezamenlijk een concertuitvoering verzorgen.

Zelfs in deze tijd trekt dit evenement een groot en enthousiast publiek. Zowel de “Koninklijke Harmonie van Thorn” als ook “Harmonie St. Michaël van Thorn” zorgen steeds weer opnieuw voor een verrassend, vernieuwend en boeiend muzikaal programma op een muzikaal en technisch hoog niveau.

Nu kunnen we luisteren naar “Alba Overture” (Overture for Wind Orchestra) van Ferrer Ferran een pseudoniem voor Fernando Ferrer Martínez.
* “Ouverture Alba” is een sprankelende, lichtvoetige en doorzichtig geschreven compositie.
De majestueuze inleiding wordt gevolgd door een eenvoudig, vrolijk en licht thema dat uitdrukking geeft aan de goede verstandhouding en het enthousiasme binnen de leden van het orkest.
** Het daarop volgende langzame deel geeft uitdrukking aan de al jarenlang aanwezige toewijding en vriendschap tussen de muzikanten en hun muzikale leider.
*** In het laatste deel komen de thema’s uit het eerste deel weer terug, culminerend in een Spaanse, levenslustige sfeer.
“Maestro Martin Diaz” is de naam van een orkest uit “Argamasilla de Alba”; een stad gelegen in de streek van “La Mancha", vooral bekend door het boek van Miguel de Cervantes met als titel "De vernuftige edelman Don Quichot van La Mancha".
Het is vooral de dirigent Miquel Carlos Gómez Perona die dit orkest tot grote muzikale hoogten heeft gebracht.
Ferrer Ferrán schreeft deze “Ouverture Alba” als eerbetoon aan dit orkest en hun dirigent.

The "joint concert"(I don’t know the english word?) in 2014 , Ascension Day, Thursday, May 29 , 2014. A beautiful musical tradition, this year again for the 65th time , the two symfonic wind orchestras of Thorn , the famous "White Town" , once a year jointly organize a concert performance .

Even today this event attracts a large and enthusiastic audience.
Both, the "Royal Symphonic Wind Orchestra of Thorn" as well as "Symphonic Wind Orchestra St. Michael of Thorn” provide over and over again for a surprising, innovative and captivating musical program on a musical and technical high level.

Now we can listen to "Alba Overture"
(Overture for Wind Orchestra ) by Ferrer Ferran, a pseudonym for Fernando Ferrer Martínez.
"Overture Alba" is a sparkling , light-hearted and transparent written composition.
* The majestic introduction is followed by a simple, cheerful and light theme that expresses the understanding and enthusiasm within the members of the orchestra.
** The subsequent slow movement gives expression to the many years of dedication and friendship between the musicians and their musical director.
***In the last part we hear the themes of the first part again, culminating in a Spanish-spirited atmosphere.

"Maestro Martin Diaz" is the name of a symphonic wind orchestra from "Argamasilla de Alba"; a city located in the region of "La Mancha" , best known for the book by Miguel de Cervantes entitled "The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha."
It is mainly the conductor Carlos Miguel Gómez Perona who brought this orchestra to great musical heights. Ferrer Ferrán wrote this "Overture Alba" as a tribute to the orchestra and their conductor.
