I wanted to bring you another ball valve hydro testing video. There are many different testing set ups and methods that can be used to test ball valves. The field testing set up we used in this video is a quick and very effective way to perform a hydro test. We use various fittings that thread into the valve and then connect to our pump set up.

The valves tested in this video were tested to the API 598 specification. Valves must have zero leakage during the shell or body test. One of the valves tested did not pass the shell test. The valve had a leak in the welding on the valve. These test can be very dangerous. The testing techniques are very important in order to prevent and injuries'.
