On May 21, 1961, the New England Division of the Railroad Enthusiasts partnered with the Claremont & Concord Railway to hold a fantrip over the remaining C&C trackage in central and western New Hampshire. Riding in freight cars on folding chairs, the excursionists toured the remains of the Henniker Branch as far as West Hopkinton, and the remainder of the Claremont Branch from Contoocook to Claremont Junction and back. Experiencing this historic trip over long-gone trackage from the 8mm cameras of a handful of railfans!
