General Zod Origins – This Genocidal Kryptonian Military General Is Superman's Most Vicious Enemy

While there’s no denying that Superman has engaged in a battle with more than his fair share of both incredible and at the same time terrifying adversaries, but only a few of them are entitled to be addressed as the best. Speaking of the best ones, it would be a cardinal sin not to include General Zod in the Superman’s Rogues Gallery. A creation of Robert Bernstein and George Papp, the character first made an appearance in the 283rd issue of Adventure Comics Volume 1 way back in April, 1961. Of course, the character has had numerous versions with time and if one is to take his current form into consideration, a rebooted version of Zod debuted in the 13th issue of Action Comics back in December 2012.
