Bergenline Avenue is the station that serves the main shopping district in Union City, NJ. It is HBLR's deepest and only underground station and it is by far the prettiest station in Hudson County! Located 160 feet below the Hudson Palisades in the former Weehawken Terminal tunnel of the West Shore Railroad, it is reached by elevators traveling from street-level entrances located just north of bus bays. The station serves two of the three HBLR lines on weekdays - the Yellow Line and Green Line (West Side line and the Tonnelle Line) and on weekends, it only serves the Yellow Line. It gets REALLY busy down here no matter the time on weekdays, so I hope you enjoy this one, ladies and gents!
