Discovering America by Bicycle | PART 27: BUFFALO AND NIGARA FALLS

Autumn conditions are having a field day with Lake Erie as we head into Buffalo, with stormy skies and whitecaps on the lake. In buffalo, we check into our hotel and get a Lyft into downtown, exploring and enjoying this lovely industrial rust-belt city. The next day we ride through the city, its spectacular steam-punk industrial zones and its elegant downtown, spending time at a naval and military park before heading north and reaching the Niagara River, where a pristine bicycle path along the river greets us. The path takes us most of the way into Niagara Falls, where we find an awesome hostel only a short walk from the falls. And we spend a rest day walking along the falls, oohing and aahing our way through this scenic wonder. Ain’t America great?
