XXVI Talhas - Mestre Daniel 2022

Villa Alva is a small village where traditions live on. And a group of friends from this village decided to revive an ancient practice that could have disappeared. They created the XXVI Talhas project. Having watched their relatives produce wine in talhas* - or amphoras - these enthusiasts could not ignore it. This project, once a dream, has become a reality to present and promote wine from Vila Alva in a worthy way.

They restored the old winery of Master Daniel, where 26 amphoras became the basis for their project. This combination - 26 talhas and the skill of making talha wine - became the perfect symbol for their project "XXVI Talhas". And we will find out whether they managed to achieve their lofty goal or not!

Today we are tasting the XXVI Talhas wine - Mestre Daniel 2022, which has a very high score on Vivino 4.4 (2019 vintage - 4.5), which is one of the highest scores among all Portuguese wines.
