Here is a brief description about this composition work “A Lullaby From Ourfa”:
The Composition is based on two lullabies for kids from the region Ourfa in Western Armenia. However, this project based only on symbols representing the Armenian Genocide and culture in general, with a tiny glimpse into the original song’s theme.

The two lullabies are remembered by the Armenian genocide survivor Ovsanna Ekmekjian - Khachadurian born in Ourfa.

The balloon in the work represents a child going through the journey of a genocide.

All the Genocide survivors’ materials in the work are from my father’s Mihran Minassian’s personal collection of Armenian Genocide Survivor's interviews.

All the photos within the work are from my father’s collection as well. Some of them have also never been published.
