Day 1 of Navratri begins with Maa Shailaputri’s blessings 🌺✨ As we stir the sweetness of Makhana Kheer, we also celebrate the story of her strength and purity 💫 May this divine start fill your nine days with devotion, positivity & good vibes. 🌙🤍
Recipe:-
Ingredients
• 2 cups makhana (fox nuts)
• 400 ml milk
• 2 tbsp ghee
• 3–4 tbsp powdered sugar (or to taste)
• Cashews, almonds, pistachios (a handful each, chopped)
• Few saffron strands

Method
1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee, roast 2 cups makhana till crisp. Keep a handful aside for garnish.
2. Grind some roasted makhana with nuts + saffron into a coarse powder.
3. Add milk to the pan with makhana, simmer 4–5 mins.
4. Stir in the nutty powder, cook till the kheer thickens.
5. Sweeten with sugar and mix well.
6. In another pan, roast cashews, almonds, and pistachios in ghee.
7. Add nuts + reserved makhana to kheer. Garnish with pistachios. Serve warm or chilled. 🌼✨
