Happy 97th birthday, dearest Maestro Herbert Blomstedt! 💐🎉🎵

On July 11, 2024, Herbert Blomstedt celebrated his 97th birthday.

A little bird told the ‪@BambergerSymphoniker‬ that he loves and appreciates the Swedish summer psalm "I denna ljuva sommartid". ☺️ So they played it for him as a birthday serenade in St. Florian. 🎶

It was an immense honor and pleasure to have spent this special day together for the filming of that same evening's concert with Bruckner's Ninth in St Florian, which will be broadcast on September 8th on Arte to celebrate Anton Bruckner's 200th birthday on September 4, 2024!

A double birthday, so to speak!
