How to: Volvo C30 S40 V50 C70 Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Описание к видео How to: Volvo C30 S40 V50 C70 Cabin Air Filter Replacement

How to replace the cabin filter on a Volvo C30. The same procedure also applied to the Volvo S40, Volvo V50, and Volvo C70 models as well. A dirty or plugged cabin filter can cause poor heating or ac performance. It’ll reduce airflow, cause foul odours, and can put excessive strain on your hvac fan. #volvo #volvoc30 #oemtools

Tools/Supplies Needed:
-3/8” ratchet
-10mm 3/8” drive
-7mm 3/8” drive
-3” extension 3/8” drive
-vacuum
-light

Procedure:
-move the seat back as far as possible
-then pull out and push up your telescopic steering as far as possible
-I removed the floor mat, you can vacuum the area if you wish and laid down a shop coat
-remove the gas pedal which is held in with three 10mm nuts
-to disconnect the electrical connector which is on the right side, push in the tang and push up the connector
-remove the gas pedal
pull the carpet back and there will be three 7mm bolts which need to be removed on the duct cap
-after those bolts have been removed, you can now pop off the cover
-grab onto the cabin filter and remove it from the duct
-using a vacuum, clean up the debris from the duct
-this should be done so it doesn’t plug the new filter or debris doesn’t wander into other parts of the hvac system
-compare the old and new filters to ensure they are the same
-the cabin filter does have a specific orientation for flow
-typically it does have a flow arrow, demonstrating which way the air moves, so that arrow should be pointing towards the rear of the car
-install the new filter
-clip the duct cap back into place, the edge facing the rear of the car tucks inside of the duct
-reinstall the fasteners for the duct cap
-reinstall the gas pedal and tighten up the nuts
-then clip in the wire connector
-you may need to vacuum up any left over debris on the carpet and you’re done
