Our trip to Swat Valley, KPK, Pakistan starts from Gabin Jabba where we drive through some tough terrain and visit different places. Next, we go to Bahrain and stay there overnight. The next morning we drive towards Kalam Valley along Swat River. We get to see some spectacular views on the way to Kalam Valley.

Swat Valley
Swat Valley is a high-altitude tourist destination located in the northwest mountains of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.

Although swat valley has a reputation for its spectacular natural beauty yet many of its tourist attractions spread across its area of 5,337 km2 (2,061 sq. mi.) are relatively undiscovered.

Swat District (Urdu: ضلع سوات, Pashto: سوات ولسوالۍ is a district in the Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. With a population of 2,309,570 per the 2017 national census, Swat is the 15th-largest district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Swat District is centered on the Valley of Swat, usually referred to simply as Swat, which is a natural geographic region surrounding the Swat River. The valley was a major centre of early Buddhism under the ancient kingdom of Gandhara, and was a major centre of Gandharan Buddhism, with pockets of Buddhism persisting in the valley until the 10th century, after which the area became largely Muslim.[4][5] Until 1969, Swat was part of the Yusafzai State of Swat, a self-governing princely state that was inherited by Pakistan following its independence from British rule. The region was seized by the Tehrik-i-Taliban in late-2007 until Pakistani control was re-established in mid-2009.

Approximately 38% of economy of Swat depends on tourism and 31% depends on agriculture.

Gabin Jabba
Gabin Jabba (Pashto: ګبين جبه), which means in Pashto honey marshes, is located approximately 65 km from Mingora on Matta sakhra road Swat valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the province of Pakistan. It is an area in Swat valley, with green meadows, thick forests, snow clad mountains, mineral springs and high peaks. Gabin Jabba elevation is 2582m (8471ft) from the sea level.

Bahrain City
Bahrain (Torwali/Pashto: بحرین; also spelled Behrain) is a town located in Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, 60 km North of Mingora at an elevation of 4700 ft on the right bank of the Swat river. It is named Bahrain (lit. "two rivers") due to its location at the confluence of the Daral and Swat rivers. It is known for its riverside tourist resorts, local handicrafts, and its view of the merging of the Daral and Swat Rivers. It also serves as a base camp for the trail that leads to the Daral & Saidgai lakes.
The region has some medicinal plants, and some researchers conduct searches in this region of Swat valley. Honey bees are found here, and the honey of the region is known throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[citation needed} Gabin Jabba also leads to the famous Daral Lake, which is located approximately 500+ meters higher from Gabin Jabba.

Kalam (Kalami, Pashto, & Urdu: کالام) is a valley located 99 kilometres (62 mi) from Mingora in the northern upper section of Swat valley along the bank of Swat River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Visitors frequent the Kalam Valley as it is known for its mountains, forests and lakes. The Kalam Valley is where the Swat river originates. The Swat River was formed as a result of the confluence of two major tributaries of Gabral river and Ushu river.

It is a sub-valley of Swat, at an elevation of about 2,000 m (6,600 ft) above sea level. The valley itself provides room for a plateau that is located above the river and used for farming. There are roads from Kalam that lead to the Usho and Utror valleys. There are mountains that are also visible from Matiltan, a valley close to Kalam Valley, including Mount Falaksar 5,918 meters (19,416 feet), and another unnamed peak 6,096 meters (20,000 feet) high.

There are several hotels in Kalam providing accommodation for tourists to the valley.

خیبر پختونخوا کا ایک کوہستانہ ضلع ہے۔ سوات ايک سابقہ رياست تھی جسے 1970ء ميں ضلع کي حيثيّت دي گئي۔ ملاکنڈ ڈويژن کا صدر مقام سیدو شریف اس ضلع ہي ميں واقع ہے۔ سوات کو خیبر پختونخوا کے شمالي خطے ميں امتيازي حيثيّت حاصل ہے۔rخی اہمیت

يہ ضلع سنٹرل ايشياء کي تاريخ ميں علمِ بشريات اور آثارِ قديمہ کے لیے مشہور ہے۔ بدھ مت تہذيب و تمدن کے زمانے ميں سوات کو بہت شُہرت حا صل تھي اور اسے اوديانہ يعني باغ کے نام سے پکارتے تھے
