अधिवेशनाच्या सहाव्या दिवशी (बुधवारी ता.३) पणन महामंडळ आणि कापूस खरेदीवरून विधानसभेचे विरोधी पक्षनेते विजय वडेट्टीवार यांनी सरकारवर टीकास्त्र सोडले. यावेळी वडेट्टीवार यांनी राज्यातील कापूस उत्पादन, पणन महामंडळाची खरेदी आणि शासनाची कारवाई यावरून जोरदार निशाना साधला. तसेच स्वामिनाथन आयोगाच्या शिफारशींप्रमाणे कापसाला हमीभाव द्यावा, अशी मागणी केली. यावेळी वडेट्टीवा यांनी हमीभावावरून केंद्र सरकर आणि पंतप्रधा नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्यावर टीका केली असता मंत्री दादा भूसे यांनी अक्षेप घेतला. त्यामुळे काही काळ सभागृहात तणाव निर्माण झाला होता.
