Gisele MacKenzie: songs from Your Hit Parade #4

Описание к видео Gisele MacKenzie: songs from Your Hit Parade #4

This 4th selection of tunes sung by Gisele MacKenzie on the classic live television show from the 1950's, Your Hit Parade, really shows the versatility of this French-Canadian performer as she turns the hits of the 1950's into clever skits set to music. Gisele starts this selection as a store window demonstration model giving sleeping tips to the tune of the Eddie Fisher hit, Count Your Blessings. Next Gisele becomes a glamour girl fly caught in the deceitful web of her evil suitor in Let Me Go Lover; Gisele next becomes a school teacher as she gives a history/art lesson to her pupils and sings The Ballad of Davy Crockett; Gisele next plays herself, an amazing singer with perfect pitch and pianist as she accompanies herself to her own top hit, Hard to Get. For Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing, Gisele becomes a lady fox hunter, a character Gisele will repeat later in her career when she starred in the stage play Auntie Mame, and the musical Mame.; finally Gisele takes on a comedy role as she becomes a missionary being served-up by natives as she sings Moments to Remember (scene spoiler, Tarzan arrives in time to save Miss MacKenzie from her dinner fate!)
