New ISRS July Guideline

We are very proud to share with you the most recent ISRS Guidelines published in the journal Neurosurgery in July: Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Intermediate (III) or High (IV-V) Spetzler-Martin Grade Arteriovenous Malformations: International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society Practice Guideline

Lead author, Dr. Christopher S Graffeo, describes the results from their systemic data review:

“Although the accessible data are somewhat heterogeneous and low certainty, they do nevertheless support the overall conclusion that radiosurgery is a very safe and effective treatment strategy for intermediate and high-grade AVMs with a long-term risk-benefit profile that is likely more favorable than resection or observation without treatment.“
