Nazar Amrohvi (1918 - 2014) was a prominent Urdu poet in the classical style. He spent most of his long poetic career in Karachi.

This recording was made at a mushaira held around 1967 at 9 Main Gulberg, Lahore, the home of Idris Ahmad and Riaz Fatima Minai, organized on behalf of the Allahabad University Old Boys Association. It was conduced by Khwaja Muhammad Shafi Dehlavi, and presided over by Hakeem Ahmad Shuja - a prominent playwright and political figure.

The original recording was made by Ahsan Osmani. The poet is announced by Khwaja Shafi.
