Body
Greater wing
Lesser wing
Pterygoid process

Body is cuboid in shape
It has 6 surfaces
Superior surface
Inferior Surface
Anterior Surface
Posterior surface
two lateral surfaces

Superior surface presents - jug sphenoidale, sulcus chiasmaticus, tuberculum sella, hypophyseal fossa & dorsal sella
Inferior surface presents - sphenoidal rostrum, concha, vaginal process.
Anterior surface presents - ethmoidal spine
Posterior surface articulates with basi occiput by primary cartilaginous joint
lateral surface presents carotid sulcus

Greater wing presents - 4 surfaces - superior or cerebral surface, lateral surface, orbital surface
2 borders - posterior & lateral or squamosal border

Lesser wing presents - 2 surfaces - superior & inferior
2 borders - anterior & posterior

Pterygoid process presents root, medial & lateral pterygoid plate
