Esther Loveridge was on my podcast over a year ago and her story of losing 130 pounds at the age of 75 and reversing a laundry list of ailments continues to inspire others. This is evidenced by her many interviews, 3 stories in Woman’s World Magazine and the growth in “Esther’s Nutritional Journey” her Facebook group which now exceed 11,400 members.

She is the author of the book “From Donuts…To Potatoes My 366 Day Journey On A Plant-Based Diet” in which she posts inspirational and encouraging stories and tells about the love connection of meeting her husband Ben Loveridge in his donut shop. During a crisis of knee pain, she was given Dr. McDougall’s book “The McDougall Program For Maximum Weight Loss” which changed her life forever. She and her husband Ben learned the value of switching from donuts to potatoes and Ben’s waist size reduction from 52” to 32” is a great testimonial too.

Several years ago at one of her gatherings for members of her group Esther’s Nutritional Journey, she met Tami and Tom Kramer and Al Schmidt who “crashed” her party to see what the group was all about.

The connection was immediate. Esther Loveridge and Al Schmidt “clicked” when they realized they were on a similar pathway. They both began their whole food plant-based journey in July, 2016, experienced success and had a passion of telling their stories to help others. They subsequently shared speaking engagements and the friendship between the two couples has grown.

Love for others has a lot to do with why they are here today.

I invited Esther Loveridge to return to my show and Al Schmidt had his debut on my show in September. It went over so well that I suggested Esther might want to invite him to join her on her second interview with me. She agreed and I have dubbed them “The Dynamic Duo”.

Al, at the age of 80, had End Stage Coronary Artery Disease and was a Cardiac Cripple. After a lifetime on the Standard American Diet, he went in just a few short months from being a semi-active senior, to being housebound by pain and fear. With the aid of three books he embarked on a Whole Food Plant Based Lifestyle that by any measure drastically improved his health and well being.

He has spent the last five and a half years telling anyone who would listen (and some that wouldn’t) about how amazing the results can be from a Whole Food Plant Based Lifestyle.
He has told how he overcame heart disease, high cholesterol, poor kidney function, and even lost some weight. He has told his incredible story to three classes at the Renaissance Program at Sacramento State, twice at Sacramento VegFest, and three times at Kaiser. He has appeared Chef AJ’s YouTube Program and T. Colin Campbell’s Center for Nutrition Studies YouTube Program. That doesn’t include all the times he has spent while standing in line with a captive audience.

Welcome Esther and Al, The Dynamic Duo, with a passion to spread the good news.
