9 months ago, I watched Madoka Magica Rebellion Story and found this battle scene to be epic. At the same time, I noticed that there are a lot of people who were remaking Love Live dance with stop motion animation, and one of my idols in stop motion industry, MoonshineAnimations had made some stop motion videos that parody some western movie scenes. So, I was thinking about making one stop motion video that replay certain scene from a well known media, and I see Mami vs Homura scene having this potential.
Before I started to remake this scene, I was still in the middle of episode 2 of The Three Musketeers. Nevertheless, I decided to pause The Three Musketeers and worked on Mami vs Homura remake because:
1. After my internship at my hometown, I found that some parts of The Three Musketeers' story need modification.
2. This is actually a very good opportunity to practice balancing my stop motion and VFX editing skill. I hope this can be a very good experience for me to enhance my skill so I can make stop motion animation of higher quality.

And after I made this video, I began to admire the production team of Madoka Magica series even more, especially the animation team. As I tried to remake the scene from Madoka Magica, I found that the scenes' detail are nicely done to the point that they make the fight looks abtract but still pretty intense. And as I tried to utilize the environment of my hostel to remake the scene, I may need a lot of trial and error to get the shooting angle I want. And since I am also very busy with my university coursework, my project would take longer time than expected, but after I finished the video, I have very strong feel of satisfication, and this feeling drives me to continue developing my YouTube channel.
Anyway, I enjoyed myself a lot in this 8 months of making. Although this is not an original work, as a fan of Madoka Magica, I feel proud to be able to make this as a tribute to my all time favorite anime. But don't worry, I will still pay attention to action figures of other anime, and I will eventually make them starring in my future video as well.
