Nowadays we have a lot of old songs, movies and video games being remastered, but what about stop motion animation?

Mami VS Homura stop motion animation was originally created on 18 February 2015, which is based on the same sequence in Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion Story.

Back then, I was still quite new in video production when I created the 2015 version. After 6 more years, I have learned more video production techniques, and thanks to the experience from Assassin's Creed: Sisterhood project, I feel like remastering Mami VS Homura project with the skills and knowledges I have recently. And I guess now it's the perfect time to do it in order to make up for the lack of new Madoka project in my channel to commemorate Madoka's 10th anniversary.

While I could no longer fix the photos and background footages taken, I could make the following changes:
1. Disabled resampling for video playback to remove shadow effect caused by frame blending.
2. Adjusted colour curve of Figma to remove yellowish appearance due to poor green screen removal.
3. Adjusted colour curve, colour level and colour balance of foreground and background to make the video looks more cinematic.
4. Increase the overall brightness of the whole video by a bit while preserving the night time atmosphere as much as possible.
5. Added motion blur to some fast movement.
6. Fixed some unnatural edges due to poor green screen removal.
7. Applied a few other minor fixes of visual effects like muzzle flash, impact spark and etc.

The video would have been better if I used proper lighting equipment back then, but I would just do what I can to make the video meet my current standard.

I hope you enjoy this remastered version as it brings new life to one of my masterpieces in my channel!
