They will be able to monetize playlists, and set custom price (hopefully) to watch videos in playlist. Playlists will be able to act like courses. Videos bundled in a playlist will have a price tag. You will be able to buy those courses just like you do on Udemy.

You know what this means, right? Most educational videos will not be free on youtube. YouTube will be new Udemy. YouTube will be able to sell courses like Udemy for you. That is why, learn NOW, whatever you want to learn for free. Because soon your favorite educational videos may not be free on youtube.

This also means that platforms like Udemy, may loose big time against YouTube. YouTube will be able to add more value for educational creators through their platform. This will empower educational creators on YouTube big time.

As a viewer, as a free user on YouTube, you have certain time to watch all of your favorite educational videos for free. So act NOW, subscribe to educational channels and learn for free as long as this update is not live. After that, it may cost, to watch anything meaningful, valuable and useful on YouTube.

I think this YouTube update will empower educational creators and motivate them to create more serious educational content on their favorite platform. For viewers, it will also impact them in a positive way. They will be able to quickly recognize and spot useful & valuable content on YouTube and filter out good and bad content. But of course anything can change. It is early to say anything about it. And we will see exactly what it offers for everybody when this feature will become live.

- Small channels will grow big time by sharing free content.
- Small creators will grow by offering free content.
- Web development channels, programming channels, educational channels will grow a lot.

And of course you don't have to go to another network to learn anything significant. YouTube will provide everything for serious creators and viewers.
