Ewanya "Puff" Johnson (December 10, 1972 – June 24, 2013) was a notable American R&B singer-songwriter. Born in Detroit and raised in Los Angeles, she made her mark on the music scene with her distinctive voice and talent. Johnson's musical journey began at a young age, marked by formal voice training and a passion for singing and dancing.

At the age of 13, she inked her first recording deal with Motown Records, although she chose not to proceed due to the significant commitment it entailed. Her early career took a different direction as she delved into choreography, working as an assistant choreographer on the music video for New Kids on the Block's hit "Step by Step." Additionally, she contributed her vocals as a background singer for artists like Christopher Williams and the R&B trio The Good Girls.

Ewanya "Puff" Johnson's breakthrough in the music industry arrived with her soulful and emotive singles "Forever More" and "Over and Over." These tracks garnered considerable commercial success in Europe and Australia, providing her with a solid fan base and recognition on the international stage. Both songs were featured on her sole album "Miracle," released in 1996.

During the early- to mid-2000s, Johnson expanded her involvement in the music world by contributing as a co-writer on various projects. She later took a significant step by relocating to South Africa, where she began crafting her second album. Unfortunately, her journey faced a major setback when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in March 2008. Despite her resilient spirit, Ewanya "Puff" Johnson tragically lost her battle with the disease on June 24, 2013.
