Dharma acid dyes in honey mustard, deep magenta, and electric violet
[5:10] The set up
200 g of yarn in the first layer
presoaked a couple of days. Add some water just enough to cover the yarn. We don't want a lot of extra liquid, but enough to cover and squish the yarn.
NO ACID!
[6:47] Dyeing the first layer
[9:52] Flipping the first layer
[14:11] Dyeing other layers
Add some dye powder before layering on the next yarn (prep the yarn first so you can add it on quickly)
add the dye, work it through
then add more water before adding more dye
[20:09] Adding acid & heat setting
Add 8 T white vinegar work it through the yarn
let it sit for a bit (~15 min) before bringing the yarn to the heat
Cover and heat for 30+ minutes
[25:44] Dyeing a second pan
[28:38] Removing the yarn from the pan
[31:56] Washing the yarn
[32:47] The dry yarn
