In his thorough keynote, Prof. Mehdi Bennis, Full Professor at the University of Oulu, explores the intersection of wireless communications and machine learning in the 6G networks. He introduces VisionX, a shift in communication towards more Semantic Communication for 6G, focusing on the exchange of quality data over quantity. A paradigm that transcends the traditional Shannon Information Theory's focus on data quantity, towards a more meaningful engagement with the data’s inherent semantics.
