When we talks about health and healthy diet, fats get a bad rap. Whereas, some fats are better for you than others and may even help to promote good health. Dietary fat, also known as fatty acids, can be found in foods from both plants and animals. These are fats that are better choices for your diet.

GOOD fats are broadly categories in 2 categories. monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats. Commonly known as MUFA & PUFA. These are "good" fats that help keep your heart healthy by lowering your blood cholesterol levels. Even, Doctors consider (MUFA & PUFA) monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat as more “heart-healthy” fats. You can identify MUFA and PUFA content in food products nutrition value table. All packaged foods have nutrition labels on them that include fat content. Reading food labels can help you keep track of how much fat you eat a day.

It’s a good idea to incorporate foods that contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.
