The Dorian Mode

Описание к видео The Dorian Mode

The Dorian mode, in its most basic form, is the scale that we get when we play all the piano white notes between D and D.

It has a cool character and has been used by jazz musicians like Miles Davis and Bill Evans to excellent effect.

The Dorian mode differs from the natural minor scale in only one way, the sixth degree of the scale is raised one semitone, which gives the scale its particular character.
