Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. After a one-night sleep over in Genoa, the fourth leg of my inter-rail holiday across Europe commenced on Friday 6th September. Filmed onboard the cross-country open-access operator Thello owned by Trenitalia from Genova Piazza Principe to Nice-Ville alongside the coastline. This train was loco hauled by an SNCF Class BB 36000 electric locomotive and coaches which had seats which aren’t the best but were durable. The journey between the two cities was about over three hours and this filmed doesn’t necessary cover the whole leg, just the important areas while looking out of the window despite of how dirty it was. While travelling along, the views of the coastline and the ocean was stunning, but part of the journey became tricky to film as the line kept going through several tunnels along the cliff-face. Plus, the dirty window kept bugging my camera when I tried to keep it focus on the surroundings outside when the sunshine was reflecting off the glass. The train left Genoa just after one in the afternoon, making several stops along the way including Ventimiglia and Menton Garavan before arriving into Nice shortly after four.
