Here's my piano and vocal cover of Midna's Lament from LoZ Twilight Princess! I was inspired to do this in the spirit of the season. It’s also is one of my most requested songs. I haven’t covered anything from Twilight Princess until now, which is wild because I love this game (and Midna). It may be my second favorite LoZ game after Ocarina of Time, though it’s hard to rank certain LoZ games for me.
I was inspired by the game's Wolf songs in the way I sing the main chorus part. In some of the main solo parts I have a single voice, and some parts have sprinkled layers.
The end of the song was going to fade out earlier, but I ended up liking it the way it was with the piano leaving first, followed by the majority of the voices, and then a few last distant voices trailing away.
I added the little visual rain effects in the background to reference the scenes/gameplay of Midna’s Desperate Hour. The ending outro colors are inspired by the colors on Midna herself. Thanks for listening, and for your support! :)
