All you’ll need to make kalya vatanyache sambar :

• 1 cup Kale vatane (Black peas)
• 3 cup Water to cook black peas

For Onion - Coconut ground paste :
• 1 cup grated Fresh Coconut
• ¼ cup grated Dried Coconut
• 2 medium Onions chopped
• 8-10 Garlic cloves
• ½ inch Ginger
• Coriander
• 1 tbsp Oil

For making Curry :
• 4 tbsp Oil
• ¼ tsp Asafoetida
• 5-6 Garlic cloves & coriander paste
• 2 ½ tbsp Malvani masala
• 1 tsp Garam masala
• ¼ tsp Turmeric
• Salt
• 2 medium Tomatoes (puree)
• Hot Water as needed
• Coriander
