If you need a practical, rugged family hauler but don’t care for the height and gas mileage of an SUV, the Subaru Outback and Volvo V60 Cross Country will satisfy. However, their execution varies greatly. Still, I believe each of them to be great alternatives to tall crossovers like the Honda Passport, Jeep Grand Cherokee, BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
